Diana Mzembe

Hello my name Is Diana and I come from Mexico. I will write my reason to why I came to the UK. I now live in Bibury, a small town in the south. I came to Bibury in 1996 when I was pregnant with my son Hernandez. As a pregnant single mom I had to earn money. So I started as a bartender on the local pub, The Catherine Wheel Pub.
On October the 11th my son Hernandez was born in the nearest hospital. My main reason for why I came to the UK was that I wanted my son to live properly, not In that shithole I lived in, in Mexico. To live a life in England had always been my dream since I was born, and finally I am here.

Hometown

As I said before I live in a little town called Bibury. To get here you have to take the plain to Birmingham airport and then drive 50 minutes, or you can take a plain to Heathrow airport in London and then drive two hours in car. The buildings and shops are from 17th century and are very valuable. Bibury has a big history behind it, so you hear something new everyday where I work.

This is Edward street in Bibury, as you can see it is very old buildnings.

When i first came to London, I was glad. I had accomplished a goal in my life, move to the UK and get a job, start a new life here. There was many ups and downs about UK, One thing that surprised me was that it was so little crime in this city relative to Mexico. It makes it more safe for me and my son. And the things that I thought would be better was the security.

After i have lived here in England for almost a year I don't feel any British yet?.
I have thought a lot, what is typical British?
I was so curious that I went to an internet cafe to search what an average British guy is.
An average guy who lives in England drinks three cups of tea a day. I drink tea only two times a month. Then I started thinking again, I though that since there was so many McDonald around the city's. Not to mansion all the Starbucks coffee shops. The British people like fastfood. And the churches that was around here. Big, small, tall, low, all kinds of churches. So I believed that almost all the British people believed in god. My recipe on how to become a British citizen, is that you cant. I think you need to be born and raised here to get all the habits that British people have. I will never be a real British citizen but I wont try either, because I'm proud of being a Mexican, and I will always be that. The worst thing that can happened now, is that I and my son get sent back to Mexico with some British habits, It have taken nearly a year to get some small typical British habits in my family it would take another year to change them back.

Problems:underline text
One of the biggest problems in the UK must be fat people. I'm not surprised either because everywhere I see its a burger king or a McDonald. The overweight in England is costing a lot of money as-well. Think about it they need bigger seats in the cinemas, bigger soda's, actually I just watched the Norwegian news feed called Vg.no and they said that the American and English supermarkets had stop the selling of three liters cola. I didn’t even know that existed. That is clearly a sign, British and American people are overweight. The amount of junk food restaurant are to damn high. Another thing that is a big problems here is,

The British government believes that you are in this country illegally and wants to send you back to Mexico.
